Has the social media revolution changed us completely? Do we prefer Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat over books? Has the online streaming made the reading culture in India not so common in India? There are so many answers, but we scarcely have answers to these questions. Technology has played a very important role in this transition. The mobile revolution has made it easy for the people to indulge in binge watching rather than reading a book after their hectic work schedule.

It’s sometimes as if people have lost patience to read and find it extremely difficult to sit on a couch and concentrate on a page of a book which is extremely wordy. We get easily distracted with the gadgets and the freedom to open our laptop or television and divert our attention. We also love to live in our shell rather than exploring. It is one of the weirdest but popular reason that stops people from reading. We have developed a defensive strategy towards everything that comes our way and to maintain this we avoid reading. In other words, we don’t like to acknowledge that there are books on the market written by people who are more knowledgeable than us and can actually provide us with clear directions.

There are so many portals dedicated to selling books make life of people easy. They provide a wide collection of books where you can easily choose and purchase authors that you like. They are delivered to you almost instantly. You don’t even have to leave your house to buy, neither wait for days or weeks for them. We are also fortunate that we can rent a book without actually paying the full amount of the book. This way you save so many resources.

The educational genre available online has helped students to access information related to the topic they are interested. There are sections dedicated to children’s book which are of high quality. These sites keep on updating their collection so that their customers can enjoy the hassle process. If you are looking for something to sink your teeth into then this is the right place for you. Explore more and read more!! But there is one question- is the art of reading has now reduced to only seeking the information or grasping the knowledge?
